Environmental Practices
Microserve is committed to the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle and to preserving the environment in our
offices. We encourage processes that reduce our environmental footprint in whatever ways possible and have adopted
a number of practices to minimize the environmental harm caused by our business. Our practices include;
- Extensive recycling programs at all of our offices and composting where services are available
- Encouragement of car pooling by providing preferential parking
- Reuse of packing materials
- Elimination of the purchase of paper or styrofoam cups
- Responsible disposal of old technology
Environmental Computing Practices
Microserve embraces green computing practices and has implemented a number of measures to reduce the environmental
impact and power consumption of our internal IT systems. These measures include; extensive use of virtualization,
selection of low-power RAM and other energy efficient components for our systems, and power-setting modifications
to eliminate unnecessary power consumption when PCs are idle. We look to eliminate paper use whenever possible;
our ordering and reporting is performed almost entirely online and we encourage efficient printing.
